Week 11: We start back but online!

The class is now ASYNCHRONOUS. This means that what we used to do in-class is moved online. Interactive video lectures-activites are posted on Blackboard. You work through these independently on your own time and pace. All three Calculus I instructors (Jill, Ed Bueler and Dakota Dragomir) have hours when you can contact us to ask questions. (See Main Course Webpage for schedule.)

The topics this week are: 3.10, 4.1, 4.2 and 4.3.

In addition to the video-activities, worksheets on these (and all topics) from the Fall 2019 coordinated class are here.

Week 4

Tip of the Week: You are studying for the Midterm (& Final Exam) NOW.

(Or not...) The best way to study for the Midterm and Final is by attending class, doing the homework, and preparing for Quizzes.

Monday 02/03: Worksheet (section 2.6) blank, filled

Wednesday 02/05: The last part of 2.6 and start 2.7. Jill's notes

Thursday 02/06: Worksheet (section 2.7) blank, filled

Friday 02/07: Worksheet (section 2.8) blank, filled

Week 3

Tip of the Week: Quiz grades matter!

Quiz averages are good predictors of test grades. So, a low quiz grade is like an a warning light going off that something is not working right.

Monday 01/27: Worksheet (section 2.3) blank, filled

Wednesday 01/29: Worksheet (section 2.3) blank, filled

Thursday 01/30: Worksheet (section 2.5) blank, filled

Friday 01/31: Worksheet (section 2.6) blank, filled

Week 2

Tip of the Week: Get started on your homework early and COMPLETE it with PERSPECTIVE.

Since you have answers to the homework, a score of 100% is not impressive. You need to be working every problem on every assignment asking yourself "Could I work this problem efficiently and correctly on my own from beginning to end without getting wildly off track?"

Wednesday 01/22: Worksheet (section 2.1) blank, filled (with notes)

Thursday 01/23: Worksheet (section 2.2) blank, filled (with notes)

Wednesday 01/24: Worksheet (section 2.2) blank, filled (with notes)

Week 1

Tip of the Week: What you do in Week 1 Matters !

Students who attend class, complete all work, and score higher on ALEKS are much more likely to succeed in Calc I than those who don't.

Wednesday 01/15: Worksheet (trigonometry) blank, filled

Thursday 01/16: Worksheet (exponential, logarithmic, and inverse functions blank, filled
